REEKMIND “MIRED IN THE REEK OF GRIEF” OUT NOW

REEKMIND debut full length, “Mired In the Reek Of Grief”, is officially available now on all streaming platforms!

From @evertspromotion:
“Crushing Death/Doom Metal from the Australian band Reekmind and their newest album called ‘Mired In The Reek Of Grief’. An absolute monsterous display of slow, sludgey and thundering riffs that give off this massive wall of sound that will crush you... and you’ll be thankful of it too. Deploying the bombastic drums on the battlefield too, giving it an impression of a behemoth creature that is stomping by. On top are these gritty and hellish vocals that make it all come together perfectly... and even more menacing! Rating: 9/10”

From lyingfiddlesticks.com:
"As the album progresses, the songs get longer and longer. “Cavernous Creeper” is a steady number, and it conveys the densest atmosphere of the bunch. “A Lingering Mephitic Fog” is the big closer, an eleven-minute monstrosity. It opens on a mysterious, perhaps even ethereal, plane. In no hurry, doom lives in the manifested space it has taken over until it is ready to unleash death metal, realized here in its most aggressive level so far. The resolution is grim. I would love to see and hear this entire album performed live. That would be an amazing night. Highly recommended."

From Mystification Zine:
"The most important note to take here in terms of artistic intent is that the Reekmind‘s ideal is crafted to represent (and manifest) the agony of grief and the perpetual feeling of mental alienation as lingering illness is perpetuated by trauma. They’ve done a fine job of this on this debut with consideration for the lyrics and the miasmic seethe which one should pick up on at face value."

“Mired In the Reek Of Grief” is available to order HERE
