Deteriorot, the veteran U.S. death metal force forged in the late 1980s underground, have unleashed their most devastating work to date with Awakening, released October 21, 2025. Celebrated as one of the true cult elites of old-school death metal, Deteriorot have spent decades perfecting a sound steeped in atmosphere, brutality, and raw, uncompromising heaviness — blending influences from early Finnish/UK death metal, Swedish brutality, and the gritty New Jersey/New York death metal ethos.
