Mutagenic Host is a five-piece death metal band hailing from London, part of the rising New Wave of British Death Metal. Featuring members from across the UK and the US, the group’s sound fuses the aggression of hardcore and the atmosphere of black metal with the brutality, precision and weight of early 90s Floridian death metal balancing groove, intensity, and purpose in equal measure.

Lyrically and conceptually, Mutagenic Host explores a technological apocalypse, a world consumed by hypocrisy, industry, and the unchecked evolution of AI. Rejecting the recycled tropes of traditional death metal, the band turns its lens toward the modern condition: the decay of humanity under opression, the seduction of complacency, and the weaponisation of technology against life itself. Their vision is one of a systematic, industrialised extinction: a warning rendered through ferocious sound and commentary.
